BECKY LYNCH

Rebecca Quin is a 39-year-old professional wrestler from Dublin, Ireland. Quin is signed to the WWE and performs on RAW under the ring name, Becky Lynch.

Quin began watching professional wrestling as a child with her brother, Richy. In 2002, Quin and her brother began training at a wrestling school opened by Finn Bálor (Fergal Devitt) and Paul Tracey in Ireland. Five months later, she made her wrestling debut under the ring name, Rebecca Knox. She also teamed with her brother in mixed tag team matches.

In 2005, Quin joined the Canadian wrestling promotion SuperGirls Wrestling, and a year later began working for Shimmer Women Athletes. Building on that momentum, she captured the World Queens of Chaos Championship in June 2006, holding the title until September when she was defeated by Sweet Saraya. Later that same month, while wrestling in Germany, Knox suffered a serious head injury that caused severe headaches and possible damage to her eighth cranial nerve, abruptly halting her momentum. As a result, Quin took a six-month hiatus from wrestling and would go on to compete only sparingly, with just three matches in 2008, 2012, and 2013.

Becky Lynch’s WWE Debut

In 2013, Quin signed a two year developmental contract with WWE and reported to the Performance Center in Florida. Quin adopted the ring name, Becky Lynch.

She made her televised in-ring debut on NXT in June 2014 defeating Summer Rae. Becky Lynch wrestled for NXT competing in various non-title matches into 2015. She made her official main roster debut in July 2015 on RAW along with Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks.

At the 2016 WWE Draft, Lynch was the first woman drafted to the SmackDown brand. On September 11, she won a six-pack elimination challenge to become the inaugural SmackDown Women’s Champion. Becky held the title until November’s TLC pay-per-view event where she lost to Alexa Bliss. She failed to regain the championship rematch in January 2017.

After the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, Becky Lynch began a winning streak. She won matches against Billie Kay, Sonya Deville, Peyton Royce, Mandy Rose, and Carmella. These wins earned her a title match at SummerSlam. At the event, Charlotte Flair won the title after she pinned Lynch.

In 2018, the feud between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair continued until Hell In A Cell in September. At the event, Lynch won the SmackDown Women’s Championship for a second time. Lynch’s second championship reign lasted 91 days. During this time, she proclaimed herself to be “The Man,” and the top wrestler for the company.

Becky Two Belts

Lynch won the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble match after eliminating Charlotte Flair. At Wrestlemania 35, Lynch, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair competed in a triple-threat match for a winner takes all match. Rousey was the RAW Women’s Champion and Flair, the SmackDown Women’s Champion. At Wrestlemania 35, the women’s match headlined the event for the first time. Lynch pinned Rousey winning both titles. With both championship titles, Lynch was dubbed “Becky Two Belts,” and was allowed to appear on both RAW and SmackDown.

At the 2019 Money in the Bank, she retained the RAW Women’s Championship but lost the SmackDown title to Charlotte Flair. Becky Lynch retained the RAW title for over a year until she announced her real-life pregnancy in May 2020. She proclaimed Asuka as the new RAW Women’s Champion.

Becky Lynch Returns to WWE & Wins SmackDown Championship

At the SummerSlam 2021, Becky Lynch returned to WWE and defeated Women’s SmackDown Champion Bianca Belair. Lynch was then reassigned to the WWE’s SmackDown brand.

At the WWE Draft in October 2021, Becky Lynch was drafted to Monday Night RAW. On the October 22nd episode of SmackDown, Lynch and Charlotte Flair (who was the RAW Women’s Champion) exchanged their titles thus making Becky the RAW Women’s Champion.

Bianca Belair was also drafted to RAW as part of the October 2021 WWE Draft and continued her feud with Lynch. On 1 November episode of RAW, Lynch successfully defended her title against Belair, ending the feud.

At Survivor Series, Becky Lynch defeated SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in a Champion vs. Champion match. On the January 31st 2022 episode of RAW, she confronted Royal Rumble winner Ronda Rousey. She was dropped by Rousey though when she left the ring. Lynch was then confronted by Lita who challenged Lynch to a title match at Elimination Chamber for the RAW Women’s Championship. Becky Lynch accepted her challenge.

Lynch was successful in retaining her title at Elimination Chamber. As a result, this set up a title match with the winner of the Elimination Chamber number one contender’s match, Bianca Belair, at WrestleMania 38. On Night One of WrestleMania 38, Becky Lynch lost the RAW Women’s Championship to Bianca Belair. Her reign lasted 162 days.

Becky Lynch & Asuka Feud

On the April 25th episode of RAW, Lynch was confronted by a returning Asuka, reigniting their feud. On the May 15th episode of RAW, Lynch failed to become the #1 contender for the RAW Women’s Championship by losing to Asuka. The next week, Lynch defeated Asuka to get added to the match between her and Belair at Hell in a Cell, making it a triple threat match. At the event, Belair retained her title. On the June 20th episode of RAW, Lynch lost to Asuka which meant she did not qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. But Lynch was headed to the event after winning a last chance MITB qualifying six pack elimination match on the following episode of RAW.

At Money in the Bank, Becky Lynch was unsuccessful in winning the match. At SummerSlam, Lynch failed to regain the RAW Women’s Championship from Belair. After Belair was confronted by a returning Bayley and new allies Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky (formerly Io Shirai), Lynch aided Belair, ensuring her face turn.

Becky Returns as The Man

On August 1st, WWE issued a statement regarding Lynch suffering a separated shoulder in her match at SummerSlam. She was expected to be out of action for several months. On that night’s episode of RAW, Lynch was attacked backstage by Bayley, Kai, and Sky, effectively being written off of television.

On the November 25th episode of SmackDown, Lynch made her return as “The Man.” It was revealed that she was the fifth and final member of Bianca Belair’s team for Survivor Series WarGames.

At Survivor Series, Lynch’s team was victorious after she performed a Double Diving Leg Drop from the top of the cage on Kai and Sky through a table and pinned Kai to win the match. At the Royal Rumble in January 2023, Lynch entered the Women’s Royal Rumble match at #15. She eliminated Kai and Sky before being eliminated by Bayley.

At the 2023 Royal Rumble, Lynch entered the Women’s Royal Rumble match at #15. She eliminated Kai and Sky before being eliminated by Bayley. On the February 27th episode of RAW, Lynch and Lita defeated Damage CTRL to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with the help of returning Trish Stratus. Becky Lynch also became Sixth Women’s Triple Crown Champion.

On the April 10th episode of Monday Night RAW, Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus lost the titles to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Their reign lasted 43 days. Trish Stratus then turned on Becky. Lynch challenged Stratus to a match at Night of Champions which she lost. On the June 5th episode of Raw, Lynch defeated Sonya Deville to qualify for the Money in the Bank on July 1st.

Becky Lynch Wins Gold Again

Following Payback, Lynch began feuding with NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and challenged her to a title match, which Stratton accepted. On the September 12th episode of NXT, Lynch defeated Stratton to win the title. At Halloween Havoc Night 1, Becky Lynch lost the NXT Women’s Championship to Lyra Valkyria.

On the November 17th episode of SmackDown, Lynch was announced as the fourth and final member of Bianca Belair’s team at Survivor Series WarGames. At the event on November 25th, Lynch, Belair, Charlotte Flair and Shotzi defeated Damage CTRL (Bayley, Iyo Sky, Kairi Sane and Asuka) after Lynch pinned Bayley. Afterwards, Lynch reignited her feud with Nia Jax, which culminated in a match at Day 1 where Lynch was defeated by Jax.

At the 2024 Royal Rumble, Lynch entered the Royal Rumble match at #21. She eliminated Chelsea Green before being eliminated by the debuting Jade Cargill. On the February 5th episode of RAW, Lynch defeated Shayna Baszler to qualify for the women’s Elimination Chamber match at Elimination Chamber: Perth. Lynch won the match by last eliminating Liv Morgan, earning a Women’s World Championship match against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania XL.

Becky Wins WWE Women’s Championship

On Night 1 of WrestleMania XL, Lynch failed to win the title from Ripley. After Ripley relinquished the title due to an arm injury, Lynch won a 14-woman Battle Royal on the April 22 episode of RAW. She last eliminated Morgan to become a seven-time Women’s World Champion.

At King & Queen of the Ring 2024 in Saudi Arabia, Lynch lost the title to Liv Morgan. Two nights later on RAW, Becky was not able to regain the title from Liv in a steel cage match. On June 1st, it was reported that Lynch’s WWE contract expired and that she became a free agent.

Becky Becomes Women’s Intercontinental Champion

Becky Lynch signed a new WWE contract in January 2025. She returned at WrestleMania 41 after an eleven-month hiatus. Teaming with Lyra Valkyria, she won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Their reign lasted just one day. Lynch then turned heel by attacking Valkyria and later admitted to assaulting Bayley before WrestleMania.

Lynch captured the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Money in the Bank 2025. She defeated Valkyria in a Last Chance match. Becky successfully defended the title against Bayley, Valkyria, and Nikki Bella, including major victories at Evolution, SummerSlam, and Clash in Paris. She lost the championship to Maxxine Dupri on RAW in November 2025 after a distraction from AJ Lee. This ended a 163-day reign But she regained the title on the January 5, 2026 episode of RAW.
