Ashley Louise Urbanski is a 29-year-old professional wrestler from Santa Clara, California. She is currently signed with the WWE and performs on SmackDown under the ring name, Shotzi.

Urbanski began her wrestling career at Hoodslam, an underground wrestling event in California, in 2014 as Missy Highasshit, a cheerleader valet for the Hoodslam stable, Stoner U. She then started making frequent appearances on the California independent scene, wrestling for promotions like All Pro Wrestling, Bar Wrestling, and Big Time Wrestling.

Urbanski’s Early Wrestling Career

Urbanski started traveling across the United States in the fall of 2016 to wrestle in other promotions including RISE Wrestling, SHIMMER Women Athletes, International Wrestling Cartel and numerous others. She also traveled abroad to wrestle in promotions including Mexico’s Desastre Total Ultraviolento, England’s British Empire Wrestling, Preston City Wrestling, International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom and Pro Wrestling EVE. While wrestling on the independent scene, Urbanski won numerous championship titles including SHINE Wrestling’s SHINA Nova Championship, RISE Wrestling’s Phoenix Of RISE Championship, Alternative Wrestling Show’s Women’s Championship, and the EBPW Ladies Championship.

Urbanski’s WWE Tryout

Urbanski originally tried out for the WWE in 2015 for the company’s Tough Enough sixth season. She was initially selected as one of the six women who would take part in that season’s competition, but had to withdraw before the season began due to a previously undiagnosed irregular heartbeat causing a failed medical test.

While wresting at Evolve 137, Urbanski was offered a contract with the WWE by William Regal, the Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting. Urbanski signed with WWE in October 2019 and made her official WWE debut in December 2019 at a NXT live event. She made her televised debut as Shotzi Blackheart on the Christmas edition of NXT, in a losing match to Bianca Belair.

On January 15, 2020, Blackheart competed in a Number One Contendership Battle Royal for the NXT Women’s Championship and did manage to eliminate Shayna Baszler before being eliminated herself by the match’s winner, Bianca Belair. During her second singles match, Shotzi was defeated by Shayna Baszler on the January 22nd episode of NXT. At the January 2020 Royal Rumble, Blackheart also competed in her first Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, where she entered the ring at #26 but was soon eliminated by her rival, Shayna Baszler.

The following week, Blackheart won her first singles victory on the January 29th episode of NXT, defeating Deonna Purrazzo. In July 2020, Blackheart lost against Indi Hartwell after interference from Aliyah and Robert Stone.

Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon Become NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship

On March 10, 2021, Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon defeated inaugural champions, Dakota Kai and Raquel González for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship.

In a brutal street fight on NXT’s May 4th episode, Blackheart and Moon dropped the titles to Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell. Their reign as NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions lasted 55 days.
