Trevor Mann is a 35-year-old professional wrestler from Alton, Illinois. Mann is currently signed with the WWE and performs on RAW as the wrestler, “Ricochet.”

Mann started his wrestling career in 2003 for the promotion, Chaos Pro Wrestling, under the ring name, Ricochet. He made his first major in-ring appearance for Insanity Pro Wrestling on February 6, 2006.

Before he started wrestling in the WWE, Mann spent many years on the independent circuit. While wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling, Mann won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship three times and was a three-time NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champion and the winner of the 2014 Best of the Super Juniors and 2015 Super Jr. Tag Tournaments.

For Japanese Dragon Gate, he held Open the Brave, Dream, Triangle, Twin and Freedom Gate Championships once and also won the 2013 King of Gate. Mann also wrestled for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), where he is a former World Champion, and a two time Battle of Los Angeles (BOLA) winner.

Ricochet’s WWE Debut

In 2018, Mann signed with WWE under the name Ricochet and he made his televised debut at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans competing in a ladder match to crown the first ever NXT North American Champion. Ricochet lost to Adam Cole .

Later that same year at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, he won the NXT North American Championship by defeating Adam Cole. At NXT TakeOver: WarGames, Ricochet teamed with Pete Dunne and the War Raiders in a winning effort against The Undisputed Era.

In 2019, Ricochet lost the NXT North American Championship at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix to Johnny Gargano. He then formed a tag team with Aleister Black and they won the 2019 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. At this time he was also teaming with Aleister Black on SmackDown and RAW. Ricochet and Black had their last NXT match at NXT TakeOver: New York losing an NXT Tag Team Championship match to the War Raiders.

The next night at WrestleMania 35, Ricochet had his first WrestleMania match teaming with Aleister Black in a 4 team tag team match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. The match also featured Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura, The Bar, and The Usos who won the match.

Ricochet Drafted to RAW

Ricochet was drafted to Monday Night RAW in 2019 as part of the Superstar Shake-Up. At Stomping Grounds on June 23, Ricochet defeated Samoa Joe to win the United States Championship, his first singles title on the main roster. Ricochet’s reign lasted 21 days before he lost the title to A.J. Styles at Extreme Rules.

In January 2020, Ricochet participated in his first Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. He was, however, eliminated by the eventual winner Drew McIntyre. On February 3, he defeated Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins in a triple threat match to earn a WWE Championship match against Brock Lesnar at Super ShowDown. At ShowDown, Ricochet was quickly defeated by Lesnar in under two minutes.

Ricochet Teams with Cedric Alexander

In April 2020, Ricochet formed a tag team with Cedric Alexander and defeated Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch at their in-ring debut. Ricochet and Alexander feuded with The Hurt Business (MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) after they injured Apollo Crews. But on the September 7th episode of RAW, Alexander turned on Ricochet and Crews during a six-man tag team match against The Hurt Business. Since Alexander attacked them and joined The Hurt Business, this led to their team being disbanded. A month later, Ricochet defeated Alexander by disqualification thus ending their storyline.

Ricochet competed at the Royal Rumble event on January 31, 2021. In his second Royal Rumble match, he lasted over 11 minutes before being eliminated by Kane. The following month at Elimination Chamber, Ricochet participated in a four way match which involved Elias, John Morrison, and Mustafa Ali. This match was set to determine who would fill in the vacant spot at the event for the United States Championship, which was won by Morrison.

At WrestleMania Backlash, Ricochet accepted United States Champion Sheamus’ open challenge for a non-title match but lost. On the June 21 episode of Raw, Ricochet defeated AJ Styles to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match. At the Money in the Bank event on July 18, he was unsuccessful.

Ricochet Drafted to SmackDown

As part of the 2021 Draft, Ricochet was drafted to the SmackDown brand. In October, he entered the King of the Ring tournament where he lost to Xavier Woods in the first round. At the kickoff show at Day 1 on January 1, 2022, Ricochet teamed with Cesaro to face Sheamus and Ridge Holland in a losing effort.

On January 29, 2022 at the Royal Rumble Ricochet competed in his third rumble match. He helped eliminate Omos and other competitors before being eliminated by Happy Corbin.

Ricochet Wins Intercontinental Championship

Ricochet, with the help of Jackass Forever actor Johnny Knoxville, defeated Sami Zayn on the March 4th episode of Friday Night SmackDown to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He then successfully defended the championship against Zayn on the March 11th episode of Smackdown in a rematch. On the March 25 edition of SmackDown, Ricochet lost to Angel and Humberto in two separate matches, due to interference from both men. This would later lead to a triple threat match for the championship at WrestleMania SmackDown, where Ricochet won.

On the April 15, 2022 edition of SmackDown, he successfully defended the championship against Jinder Mahal. But on the June 10th edition of SmackDown, he lost the Intercontinental Championship to Gunther. Ricochet’s reign lasted 98 days. He challenged for the title in a rematch on the June 24th episode of SmackDown but lost. On the following episode of RAW, Ricochet competed in a Money in the Bank qualifying battle royal, which was won by Riddle. On the August 19 episode of SmackDown, he competed in a fatal five-way match to determine the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship, which was won by Sheamus.

On the August 30th episode of NXT, Ricochet returned to the brand, confronting Carmelo Hayes. A match between the two for the NXT North American Championship was made for Worlds Collide on September 4th, but Ricochet lost. On the December 2nd episode of SmackDown, Ricochet won the SmackDown World Cup, defeating Santos Escobar in the final and becoming the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship. Two weeks later, on December 16, Ricochet faced Gunther in a rematch for the title in a losing effort. As part of the 2023 WWE Draft, Ricochet was drafted to the RAW brand.
