Otis’ WWE Contract

In 2016, Bogojevic was scouted by Gerald Brisco and signed a WWE contract. Bogojevic was then assigned to the WWE Performance Center. He made his debut at an NXT house show in July 2016. He teamed up with Adrian Jaoude in a losing match against the Authors of Pain.

Around this time, Bogojevic formed a tag team called Heavy Machinery with Tucker Knight. His ring name was also changed to Otis Dozovic. Heavy Machinery made their debut at the 2017 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament. They made their televised debut on NXT in October defeating Austin Aries and Roderick Strong. In July 2017, Heavy Machinery challenged The Authors of Pain for the NXT Tag Team Championship but were unsuccessful. Heavy Machinery competed in the 2018 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament but were eliminated in the first round by the Street Profits.

Otis’ Main Roster Debut

In January 2019, Otis and Tucker were drafted to the main roster. They defeated the Ascension at their in-ring debut on RAW. Bogojevic’s ring name was shortened to Otis a month later.

Both Otis and Tucker competed in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 35 but were eliminated. For the rest of 2019, Otis and Tucker fought in numerous matches for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship but were unsuccessful.

In October 2019, Otis and Tucker were drafted to SmackDown. Otis was also written into a storyline that involved a romantic angle with Mandy Rose. In 2020, Otis won the Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase earning him a world title match at the time of his choosing.

On the September 11th episode of Smackdown, Otis and Tucker began a feud with The Miz and John Morrison after they stole the Money in the Bank briefcase from Otis. The briefcase did not contain the Money in the Bank contract though as it was inside Otis’ lunchbox. A week later, Otis was sued by the Miz and John Morrison on the September 18th episode of SmackDown. Otis was told to relinquish the contract but he refused and opted to go to court instead.

Otis and Tucker Disband

As part of the October 2020 Draft, Otis remained on SmackDown. Tucker was drafted to the company’s RAW brand. This move to a different brand caused the team to disband. But on the October 19th RAW episode, Otis tagged with Tucker but was disguised under a mask using the name El Gran Gordo.

At Hell in a Cell, he lost his Money In the Bank briefcase to the Miz when Tucker hit him with the briefcase. The following month, after being defeated by Seth Rollins, Otis defeated Dolph Ziggler. He was then confronted by Chad Gable who promised to help him discover his “Inner Alpha.”

Otis at Survivor Series

Otis was announced as the final member of Team SmackDown for WWE’s Survivor Series 2020 event. At Survivor Series, he was eliminated by Braun Strowman and Team SmackDown lost in a clean sweep against Team RAW.

He competed in his first Royal Rumble match in 2021 but was eliminated by King Corbin. On the February 19 episode of Smackdown, Chad Gable ordered him to attack Rey Mysterio after their tag team match. This marked Otis’ turn to heel for the first time in his WWE career. Otis and Chad Gable then teamed with the SmackDown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. Together, they defeated the Street Profits and The Mysterios in an eight-man tag team match in April.
