OTIS
Nikola Bogojevic is a 30-year-old professional wrestler from Duluth, Minnesota. Bogojevic is signed with the WWE and performs on the company’s RAW brand under the ring name, Otis.
In high school, Bogojevic was an amateur wrestler and was the 2010 285lb undefeated WIAA State Champion. He wrestled at collegiate level for Augsburg College and Colorado State University-Pueblo. At one point, Bogojevic was considered a prospect for the U.S. Greco-Roman wrestling team at the 2012 Summer Olympics and spent some time training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado.
Bogojevic started his professional wrestling career in 2015 and wrestled for the promotion Ultra Championship Wrestling-Zero under the ring name, Dozer.
Otis’ WWE Contract
In 2016, Bogojevic was scouted by Gerald Brisco and signed a WWE contract. Bogojevic was then assigned to the WWE Performance Center. He made his debut at an NXT house show in July 2016. He teamed up with Adrian Jaoude in a losing match against the Authors of Pain.
Around this time, Bogojevic formed a tag team called Heavy Machinery with Tucker Knight. His ring name was also changed to Otis Dozovic. Heavy Machinery made their debut at the 2017 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament. They made their televised debut on NXT in October defeating Austin Aries and Roderick Strong. In July 2017, Heavy Machinery challenged The Authors of Pain for the NXT Tag Team Championship but were unsuccessful. Heavy Machinery competed in the 2018 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament but were eliminated in the first round by the Street Profits.
Otis’ Main Roster Debut
In January 2019, Otis and Tucker were drafted to the main roster. They defeated the Ascension at their in-ring debut on RAW. Bogojevic’s ring name was shortened to Otis a month later.
Both Otis and Tucker competed in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 35 but were eliminated. For the rest of 2019, Otis and Tucker fought in numerous matches for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship but were unsuccessful.
