ANGELO DAWKINS

Gary Gordon is a 33-year-old professional wrestler from Cincinnati, Ohio. Gordon is signed to WWE’s SmackDown under the ring name, Angelo Dawkins.

In high school and college, Gary Gordon competed in football, amateur wrestling and track. In 2012, he signed a developmental contract with WWE and made his TV debut on NXT where he was defeated by Sami Zayn. Gordon teamed with Sawyer Fulton to compete in the 2015 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament but were eliminated by Colin Cassidy and Enzo Amore in the first round.

Dawkins & Ford Form The Street Profits

Gordon teamed with Montez Ford to form the tag team, The Street Profits in January 2017. The Street Profits debuted in July and won their first match against the Hype Bros on NXT. For the remainder of 2017, The Street Profits experienced success in the ring and eventually earned a title match for the NXT Tag Team Championship. On December 14, they fought Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly for the titles but were defeated.

Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford continued their pursuit for the tag team championships throughout 2018 but were unsuccessful. The Street Profits also competed in EVOLVE Wrestling and won the tag team titles in 2018 but lost them to the Unwanted in March 2019.

The Street Profits entered the 2018 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic again. They were eliminated by the Authors of Pain (AOP) in the semi-finals. The Street Profits entered the 2019 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament but were eliminated by Moustache Mountain in the first round.

On an episode of NXT in May 2018, The Viking Raiders vacated their tag team titles but were immediately challenged by The Street Profits. The match ended in disqualification after The Forgotten Sons, Oney Lurcan and Danny Burch interfered.

At NXT TakeOver: XXV, The Street Profits, Lorcan and Burch, The Forgotten Sons, and The Undisputed Era competed in a four-way tag team match. The Street Profits won the NXT Tag Team Titles for the first time but lost the titles on August 15 to Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly.

Angelo Dawkins’ Main Roster Debut

On October 11 2019, The Street Profits were drafted to RAW. They made their official main roster debut in a match defeating Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. At Survivor Series, they competed in a 10-team Tag Team Battle Royal and were the last team to be eliminated by winners, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.

After numerous title matches with The Viking Raiders, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford finally won the RAW Tag Team Championship titles on March 2, 2020.

Street Profits Drafted to SmackDown

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins were drafted to SmackDown as part of the WWE’s October 2020 draft. As a result, Dawkins and Ford traded the RAW Tag Team Championship to The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) who had just been drafted to the RAW brand in exchange for The New Day’s SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

After moving to SmackDown, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins began feuding with the tag team of Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. In December, The Street Profits successfully defended their titles against Roode and Ziggler. On the January 8th episode of SmackDown, The Street Profits lost the titles to Ziggler and Roode. Ford and Dawkins’ reign lasted 88 days.

Throughout the spring of 2021, the Street Profits along with Otis and Chad Gable as well as The Mysterios and The Dirty Dawgs began rivalries, trading wins.

The Street Profits Suffer An Injury

In April 2021, The Street Profits challenged for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles but were unsuccessful. On the June 11th episode of Smackdown, Ford suffered a partial rib fracture thanks to Otis. It was then announced that Ford would be out of action for months. After Ford’s injury, Dawkins started to appear in singles matches against Otis.

As part of the WWE Draft in October 2021, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford were drafted to RAW. At WWE’s pay-per-view, Day 1, the Street Profits challenged RK-Bro for the RAW Tag Team Championships but were unsuccessful. At Royal Rumble 2022, Ford and Dawkins entered the Royal Rumble match at #6 and #10, but were unsuccessful.

Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford Battle The Usos

On the second night of WrestleMania 38, the Street Profits failed to win the titles again. At Money in the Bank in July, they lost in a match to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against The Usos. In a rematch at SummerSlam, Dawkins and Ford lost again. At Clash at the Castle on September 3rd, The Street Profits teamed with Madcap Moss to defeat Alpha Academy and Austin Theory during the pre-show.

At the Royal Rumble on January 28, 2023, The Street Profits entered the men’s Royal Rumble match. Neither were successful as Dawkins was eliminated by Brock Lesnar, while Ford was eliminated by Damian Priest. On the February 6th episode of RAW, Ford defeated Elias to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match for the United States Championship, while Dawkins lost to Damian Priest in another qualifying match.

On the April 28th SmackDown episode, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins were drafted to Smackdown as part of the WWE Draft.
