Alexis Cabrera (a.k.a. Alexa Bliss) is a 32-year-old wrestler from Columbus, Ohio. She is currently signed with the WWE and performs on the company’s RAW brand. Bliss is currently inactive due to maternity leave.

Alexis has always been athletic having been involved in sports like softball, track, gymnastics and kickboxing since the age of 5. In high school, she was a cheerleader and reached Division I status at the University of Akron.

Alexis even competed professionally as a competitive body builder and was one of the youngest people to earn the IFBB Professional status. As a teenager, Alexis was diagnosed with a severe eating disorder but found competing in fitness competitions helped her overcome her disorder.

Alexis Kaufman’ WWE Contract

Kaufman was signed by the WWE in 2013 and was assigned to the company’s developmental territory, NXT. In August, she was assigned the ring name, Alexa Bliss. She made her first televised appearance on the main roster at WrestleMania 30 as part of Triple H’s elaborate entrance.

Alexa Bliss made her televised NXT debut on May 8th 2014 competing in the tournament for the vacant NXT Women’s Championship. Bliss defeated Alicia Fox in the first round but lost to Charlotte Flair in the semi-finals. Bliss went on hiatus after sustaining an injury but returned in March 2015 and defeated Carmella.

In November 2015, Alexa Bliss feuded with Bayley over the NXT Women’s Championship but was unsuccessful. Alexa Bliss’ last match in NXT was in August 2016.

Alexa Bliss’ Main Roster Debut

On July 19, Alexa Bliss was drafted to SmackDown and made her main roster debut on the July 26th episode of SmackDown. She had her first victory against Becky Lynch in August and competed at SummerSlam where she teamed with Natalya and Nikki Bella in a winning effort against Becky Lynch, Carmella and Naomi.

On December 4, Alexa Bliss defeated Becky Lynch to become the SmackDown Women’s Champion. She lost the title in February to Naomi the following year. Two weeks later, Bliss defeated Lynch to capture the title for the second time after Naomi was forced to vacate the title due to injury.

At WrestleMania 33, Alexa Bliss lost the title to Naomi in a six-pack challenge that also included Carmella, Mickie James, Becky Lynch and Natalya.

At Elimination Chamber in February 2018, Bliss won the match and continued to retain her title. She lost the title to Nia Jax at WrestleMania 34, ending her reign at 223 days. After losing the title, Bliss competed in and won the Money in the Bank. Bliss cashed in the Money in the Bank contract that night and defeated Jax to win the RAW Women’s Championship.

Alexa Bliss suffered a concussion at Hell in a Cell and was unable to compete at Evolution, the first women’s only pay-per-view event. In January 2019, Alexa Bliss returned from hiatus to compete in the women’s Royal Rumble match but lasted only 12 minutes before being eliminated.

Bliss & Cross Win WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

In June 2019, Alexa Bliss teamed with Nikki Cross to challenge the Ilconics but were unsuccessful. In August, Bliss and Cross won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in a four-way tag team elimination match. At the pay-per-view event, she lured Strowman into a trap set by Wyatt who knew that Strowman had affection for Bliss. She then became involved in the storyline between Strowman and Wyatt and was attacked by Wyatt’s alter ego, The Friend, on the July 31st episode of SmackDown. Her involvement with The Fiend would continue in the coming months, with Bliss going into a trance and using his finisher, Sister Abigail.

Alexa Bliss Drafted to RAW

As part of the 2020 Draft in October, both Alexa Bliss and The Fiend were drafted to WWE’s RAW brand. On the October 26 episode of Raw, while hosting A Moment of Bliss with special guest Randy Orton, a feud was ignited that involved The Fiend as well. During the opening of that segment, Bliss was also given a new ring entrance theme song “The Fury.” After the Fiend was written off television, Bliss then took over the feud with Orton, as she wanted him to face the repercussions of his actions at TLC.

At the 2021 Royal Rumble, she competed in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, entering at number 27. But she was eliminated by Rhea Ripley after about a minute in the ring. From January to March 2021, Bliss’ appearance continually shifted darker as she began to constantly interfere in Randy Orton’s matches. This transformation ramped up for her scheduled intergender match against Orton at Fastlane. During that match, she attacked Orton with supernatural powers and made a lighting rig fall and almost land on him. She also launched a fireball at him. At the end, The Fiend made his return and attacked Orton, allowing Bliss to be victorious.

New Feuds for Alexa Bliss

Following Wrestlemania 37, Alexa Bliss declared that The Fiend was her mentor, but now she no longer needed him. She then introduced her new friend, a demonic looking doll named Lilly.

On the May 31 episode of RAW, Alexa Bliss began feuding with Shayna Baszler. Baszler claimed that Bliss was the reason why she and Nia Jax lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles. A match at Hell in a Cell was set between Bliss and Baszler. Alexa Bliss defeated Baszler at the event.

On the June 21st episode of RAW, it was announced that Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross would be in a Money in the Bank Qualifier tag team match against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Bliss and Cross ended up victorious when Cross pinned Baszler with a cradle. This was the first team win for Bliss and Cross since the May 12, 2020 RAW taping.

On the July 12th episode of RAW, Bliss began feuding with Eva Marie. A match between Bliss and Marie was announced at SummerSlam on the August 16 episode of RAW At the event, Bliss defeated Eva Marie. On the October 31st episode of RAW, Alexa Bliss and Asuka defeated Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and IYO SKY) to win WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Five days later at WWE’s pay-per-view Crown Jewel, Asuka and Alexa Bliss lost the titles back to Damage CTRL.  At Survivor Series WarGames, the team of Bliss, Belair, Asuka, Lynch, and Mia Yim defeated the team of Damage CTRL (Kai, Sky, and Bayley), Cross, and Ripley in a WarGames match.

With the return of Bray Wyatt to WWE in late 2022, Bliss began having occasional backstage segments and in-ring moments interrupted by flickers of imagery connected to Wyatt and the related new Uncle Howdy character.

On the January 2, 2023, episode of RAW, during a match against RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Bliss was distracted by crowd members wearing Uncle Howdy masks and flickers of Wyatt’s imagery on the video screen.
