Alexis even competed professionally as a competitive body builder and was one of the youngest people to earn the IFBB Professional status. As a teenager, Alexis was diagnosed with a severe eating disorder but found competing in fitness competitions helped her overcome her disorder.

Alexis Kaufman’ WWE Contract

Kaufman was signed by the WWE in 2013 and was assigned to the company’s developmental territory, NXT. In August, she was assigned the ring name, Alexa Bliss. She made her first televised appearance on the main roster at WrestleMania 30 as part of Triple H’s elaborate entrance.

Alexa Bliss made her televised NXT debut on May 8th 2014 competing in the tournament for the vacant NXT Women’s Championship. Bliss defeated Alicia Fox in the first round but lost to Charlotte Flair in the semi-finals. Bliss went on hiatus after sustaining an injury but returned in March 2015 and defeated Carmella.

In November 2015, Alexa Bliss feuded with Bayley over the NXT Women’s Championship but was unsuccessful. Alexa Bliss’ last match in NXT was in August 2016.

Alexa Bliss’ Main Roster Debut

On July 19, Alexa Bliss was drafted to SmackDown and made her main roster debut on the July 26th episode of SmackDown. She had her first victory against Becky Lynch in August and competed at SummerSlam where she teamed with Natalya and Nikki Bella in a winning effort against Becky Lynch, Carmella and Naomi.

On December 4, Alexa Bliss defeated Becky Lynch to become the SmackDown Women’s Champion. She lost the title in February to Naomi the following year. Two weeks later, Bliss defeated Lynch to capture the title for the second time after Naomi was forced to vacate the title due to injury.

At WrestleMania 33, Alexa Bliss lost the title to Naomi in a six-pack challenge that also included Carmella, Mickie James, Becky Lynch and Natalya.

Alexa Bliss Drafted to RAW

As part of the 2020 Draft in October, both Alexa Bliss and The Fiend were drafted to WWE’s RAW brand. On the October 26 episode of Raw, while hosting A Moment of Bliss with special guest Randy Orton, a feud was ignited that involved The Fiend as well. During the opening of that segment, Bliss was also given a new ring entrance theme song “The Fury.” After the Fiend was written off television, Bliss then took over the feud with Orton, as she wanted him to face the repercussions of his actions at TLC.

At the 2021 Royal Rumble, she competed in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, entering at number 27. But she was eliminated by Rhea Ripley after about a minute in the ring. From January to March 2021, Bliss’ appearance continually shifted darker as she began to constantly interfere in Randy Orton’s matches. This transformation ramped up for her scheduled intergender match against Orton at Fastlane. During that match, she attacked Orton with supernatural powers and made a lighting rig fall and almost land on him. She also launched a fireball at him. At the end, The Fiend made his return and attacked Orton, allowing Bliss to be victorious.

Bliss and Cross ended up victorious when Cross pinned Baszler with a cradle. This was the first team win for Bliss and Cross since the May 12, 2020 RAW taping.
