On the September 24 episode of NXT UK, Ray successfully defended her championship against Piper Niven. Their rivalry escalated in November after Ray mocked Niven following a previous loss. This led to Niven attacking Ray both in the ring and backstage. On November 19, 2020, Ray again retained her title against Niven in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.

In the weeks following her victory over Piper Niven, Kay Lee Ray successfully defended her NXT UK Women’s Championship in matches against Jinny and Meiko Satomura. However, on the June 10, 2021, episode of NXT UK, Ray’s record-breaking reign of 649 days came to an end when she lost the title to Satomura.

Kay Lee Ray Debuts on NXT

In August 2021, Kay Lee Ray made her debut appearance at NXT Takeover 36 at the end of the NXT Women’s Championship match between Raquel González and Dakota Kai. On the November 23rd episode of NXT, Ray distracted Mandy Rose during her match against Cora Jade. As a result, this made Rose lose the match. Later that night, she joined Io Shirai’s team at NXT WarGames, turning face for the first time in her career.

On the February 8th 2022 episode of NXT, Ray fought Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Championship, but lost.

Alba Fyre Ring Name

Kay Lee Ray and Io Shirai won the 2022 Women’s Dusty Cup. At Stand & Deliver, Ray came up short in her bid to capture the NXT Women’s Championship. The match was a fatal four-way match that also included Shirai, Cora Jade, and champion Mandy Rose. On the April 26th episode of NXT, Ray revealed her new ring name: Alba Fyre.

Fyre’s first match under her new persona came on the May 10th episode of NXT, where she defeated Amari Miller. After securing a victory over Tatum Paxley on the June 7th episode, Fyre was attacked by Lash Legend. The feud escalated with Fyre defeating Legend by disqualification on the June 21st episode after Legend used Fyre’s own bat.

At Halloween Havoc, Fyre challenged Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Championship but was unsuccessful. On the November 15th episode of NXT, Fyre lost her rematch in a Last Woman Standing match when Isla Dawn made her shocking return and interfered. This set the stage for a showdown between Fyre and Dawn at NXT Deadline on December 10th, where Dawn emerged victorious. However, Fyre got her revenge on the January 3rd, 2023 episode of NXT, defeating Dawn in an Extreme Resolution match.

Three weeks later, Fyre failed to capture the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, and on January 31st, she turned heel, aligning herself with Isla Dawn to form a dangerous new alliance.

Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn Win Gold

On the November 15th episode of NXT, Fyre lost her rematch for the NXT Women’s Championship against Mandy Rose in a brutal Last Woman Standing match. This set the stage for a one-on-one confrontation between Fyre and Dawn at NXT Deadline. Fyre was defeated by Dawn, however, Fyre got her revenge on the January 3rd, 2023 episode of NXT, securing a victory over Dawn in an Extreme Resolution match.

Three weeks later, Fyre failed to capture the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, and on the January 31st episode of NXT, she turned heel, aligning herself with Isla Dawn to form a dangerous partnership.

At Stand & Deliver on April 1st, Fyre and Dawn triumphed over Fallon Henley and Kiana James to capture the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, marking the start of their reign together.

Alba Fyre Heads to SmackDown

As part of the 2023 WWE Draft, Alba Fyre and her tag team partner Isla Dawn were drafted to SmackDown. The duo made their debut on the May 19th, 2023 episode of SmackDown, where they defeated Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon. On the June 9th episode, Fyre and Dawn were confronted by WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszle. They challenged them to a unification match. On June 23rd, Fyre and Dawn lost the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship in the match.

The team returned on the December 22nd episode of SmackDown, attacking Damage CTRL during the Holiday Havoc Match, officially branding themselves as The Unholy Union.

During Night 1 of the 2024 WWE Draft, Fyre and Dawn were selected to join the RAW brand. At Clash at the Castle: Scotland, The Unholy Union emerged victorious in a triple-threat tag team match to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, defeating Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, as well as Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. On July 30th, Fyre and Dawn successfully defended their titles against Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson of The Meta-Four during week one of NXT: The Great American Bash.

However, at Bash in Berlin in Germany, Fyre and Dawn were forced to relinquish the tag team titles to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair.
