WES LEE

Deveon Everhart Aikens is a 27-year-old wrestler from Dayton, Ohio. He is currently signed to WWE and performs under the ring name, Wes Lee.

Aiken’s Early Wrestling Career

Aikens wrestled on the independent scene until 2017 under the ring name, Dezmond Xavier. He signed with Impact Wrestling in April 2017 and made his in ring debut in a six way match for the X Division Championship which he lost. In his first singles match for Impact Wrestling on July 8, 2017, he defeated Idris Abraham. In late July, he then entered the 2017 GFW Super X Cup tournament. At the tournament, he defeated Idris Abraham in the quarterfinals, Drago in the semifinals and Taiji Ishimori in the final to win the 2017 GFW Super X Cup.

He was a singles wrestler until 2018 when he teamed up with Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz to form the stable, The Rascalz. Wes Lee parted with Impact Wrestling in 2018. After this, he did make some appearances with Dragon Gate and Lucha Underground. Lee continued wrestling independently until 2020 when he was signed to WWE alongside Zachary Wentz.

Aikens Signs With WWE

In December 2020, Aikens’ was signed to WWE and given the ring name Wes Lee. At the same time, Zachary Wentz now known as Nash Carter, was also signed to WWE and together they formed the tag team, MSK.

MSK made their debut in The 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in January 2021. In the tournament they defeated the teams of Jake Atlas and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Killian Dain and Drake Maverick, Legado Del Fantasma. In the finals, they defeated The Grizzled Young Veterans to win the tournament.

MSK Wins NXT Tag Team Championship

At NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver MSK won the vacant NXT Tag Team Championship after defeating the Grizzled Young Veterans and Legado Del Fantasma in a triple threat tag team match.

MSK had heir first successful title defense against the team of Killian Dain and Drake Marverick on the April 13 episode of NXT. At NXT Takeover: In Your House, MSK teamed with NXT North American Champion, Bronson Reed to take on Legado Del Fantasma in a winners take all match, where the team of MSK and Reed were victorious.

At NXT: The Great American Bash, MSK defeated Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher to retain their NXT Tag Team Titles. On the September 8 episode of NXT, MSK beat Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch to retain the NXT Tag Team Titles. On the October 5 episode of NXT 2.0, MSK successfully defended their Tag Titles in a fatal-4-way elimination match. At NXT: Halloween Havoc, MSK lost their titles to Imperium, ending their reign at 201 days.

Wes Lee and Nash Carter won back the NXT Tag Team Championships at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 2 2022. Two days later, WWE released Nash Carter after domestic violence allegations surfaced online by Carter’s wife. As a result, MSK had to vacate their titles.
