NOAM DAR

Noam Dar is a 30-year-old Israeli-born, Scottish professional wrestler. Dar wrestles for the WWE’s NXT UK brand. He is the current NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion in his record setting third reign.

Dar was only 15 years old when he debuted on the British independent circuit wrestling for British Championship Wrestling and Premiere British Wrestling. He also wrestled for Dragon Gate UK, Westside Xtreme Wrestling, Revolution Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Elite, Insane Championship Wrestling, Progress Wrestling, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, and What Culture Pro Wrestling.

Noam Dar’s WWE Debut

In 2016, Dar competed in the WWE’s Global Cruiserweight Series tournament (now Cruiserweight Classic) and defeated Gurv Sihra in the first round and Ho Ho Lun in the second. Dar was defeated in the quarterfinals by Zack Sabre Jr.

Noam Dar’s Main Roster Debut

At the end of August 2016, it was announced that Dar had signed with the WWE and would compete in the cruiserweight division. He made his main roster debut on RAW in November in a tag team with The Brian Kendrick against Rich Swann and Sin Cara.

In 2017, Noam Dar performed on the RAW brand and 205 Live but suffered a knee injury in December that would require surgery to repair a tear in his meniscus. Dar returned to in-ring action on June 20, 2018 for the WWE’s United Kingdom Championship tournament. He defeated Flash Morgan Webster, Mark Andrews and Travis Banks in a fatal four-way match to become the number one contender for the United Kingdom Championship.

In October 2018, on the first episode of NXT UK, Noam Dar challenged Pete Dunne for the WWE United Kingdom Championship in the main event but was unsuccessful. Dar re-injured his knee and was out of action for a couple of months in 2019. Noam returned to NXT UK live tapings in August that year and defeated Travis Banks at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff.

After NXT UK’s return from the Covid-19 pandemic, it was announced that Dar will be part of the NXT UK Heritage Cup tournament. He defeated Alexander Wolfe in the first round of the tournament, with former NXT UK and NXT Tag Team Champion, Pete Dunne, as the special guest referee. On the November 5th, 2020, episode of NXT UK, Dar lost to A-Kid in the second round of the Heritage Cup.

Noam Dar Wins UK Heritage Cup

Dar started hosting his own talk show called “Supernova Sessions” in 2021 and began an on-screen relationship with his real life friend Sha Samuels. On the October 7th, 2021 episode of NXT UK, Dar defeated Wolfgang to become the next #1 Contender to the NXT UK Heritage Cup. On the October 28th, 2021 episode of NXT UK, Noam Dar beat Tyler Bate 2-1 to win the NXT UK Heritage Cup Title, winning his first championship in WWE in the process and becoming the first champion of Israeli descent in company history.

In 2021, Dar started hosting his own talk show called “Supernova Sessions” and has begun an on-screen association with real life friend Sha Samuels. Dar defeated Wolfgang to become the next #1 Contender to the NXT UK Heritage Cup on the October 7th episode of NXT UK. Noam Dar defeated Tyler Bate 2-1 to win the NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship on the October 28 episode of NXT UK. This marked his first championship in WWE and also became the first champion of Israeli descent in company history. On the July 14th episode of NXT UK, Noam Dar lost the Heritage Cup Championship to Mark Coffey with the match ending in the sixth round. Dar then went on to regain the Heritage Cup Championship from Mark Coffey on the July 7th tapings of NXT UK.
