KIT WILSON

Sam Stoker is a 28-year-old British professional wrestler from London, England. Stoker is currently signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and performs on SmackDown under the ring name, Kit Wilson. He is one half of the tag team, Pretty Deadly, alongside his partner, Elton Prince.

Stoker began wrestling professionally in 2014 for International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom. In March 2018, Stoker, known as Sammy Smooth, formed an alliance with Lewis Howley to compete at IPW: UK Clapham Calling. Their team was called “The Collective” and they challenged Filthy Club (Jack Sexsmith and Robert Sharpe) for the IPW: UK Tag Team Championship. In February 2019, they debuted on Hustle Wrestling Live in Enfield and defeated Justin Case and Justin Vincible.

Pretty Deadly Team

On the March 13th 2019 edition of IPW: UK, Howley and Sam Stoker (formerly known as Sammy Smooth and now known as Kit Wilson) wrestled as the team known as Pretty Deadly. They defeated Team Storm to become the new IPW: UK Tag Team Champions. They later lost the titles on May 29 at LAX-Treme Measures, in a three-way tag team tables match.

Pretty Deadly began appearing sporadically for NXT UK in 2019 before making their official WWE debut in a losing match to Wild Boar and Primate. They were forced to take a six-month hiatus before returning to United Kingdom and turning in their first victory in WWE. On January 31st 2020, Howley and Stoker signed with WWE to compete on NXT UK.

Pretty Deadly won their first tag match during the March 12th episode of NXT UK by defeating Dan Moloney & DeReiss Gordon. They became the number one contenders for the NXT UK Tag Team Championship on January 28th 2021. They defeated Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster, Oliver Carter and Ashton Smith and The Hunt (Wild Boar and Primate) in a four-way tag team match.

Kit Wilson & Elton Prince Become NXT UK Tag Team Champions

Pretty Deadly defeated Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) on February 25th 2021 to win the NXT UK Tag Team Championships for the first time. Elton Prince and Kit Wilson retained the titles against Amir Jordan and Kenny Williams on the April 1st episode of NXT UK. On the June 4th episode of NXT UK, Pretty Deadly successfully defended their titles against Jack Starz and Nathan Frazer.

On the July 22nd episode of NXT UK, Prince and Wilson retained their titles against Subculture’s Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan. The following month, they retained against Moustache Mountain. However, they lost the titles to Moustache Mountain in a rematch on the December 9th episode of NXT UK. This ended Pretty Deadly’s title reign at 287 days.

Pretty Deadly Wins NXT Tag Team Championship

On the April 5th episode of NXT 2.0, Pretty Deadly made their NXT debut and revealed that they were The Creed Brothers’ attackers after the defeated Imperium. The following week, they won the vacant NXT Tag Team Championship in a Gauntlet match. The Gauntlet match involved Legado del Fantasma, Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen, and Grayson Waller and Sanga, and The Creed Brothers.

Pretty Deadly’s reign came to an end when they lost the titles to The Creed Brothers at In Your House on June 4th. On the July 19th episode of NXT, Pretty Deadly fought Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen for the NXT UK Tag Team Championship in a losing effort. But, at Worlds Collide on September 4th, Pretty Deadly defeated The Creed Brothers, Gallus and Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Elimination Match to unify the NXT and NXT UK Tag Team Championships.

At NXT Deadline, Pretty Deadly lost the NXT Tag Team Championship to The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods). Their second reign lasted 98 days. After failing to regain the titles, Pretty Deadly began feuding with Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo. At Spring Breakin, Pretty Deadly lost to them in a trunk match. This was their final NXT appearance. As part of the 2023 WWE Draft, Pretty Deadly were drafted to WWE’s main roster and would appear on the SmackDown brand.
