KARRION KROSS

Kevin Kesar is a 38-year-old professional wrestler from New York. He is currently with World Wrestling Entertainment and performs on RAW. Kesar’s ring name is Karrion Kross. He is also the leader of The Final Testament.

Kesar made his professional wrestling debut for Global Force Wrestling in 2015 in a losing match to Bobby Roode. He began working for Lucha Underground and worked multiple dark matches before making his official in-ring debut for the promotion where he defeated Vinny Massaro in a dark match.

Kesar wrestled for many independent wrestling promotions in his early career such as Paragron Pro Wrestling, West Coast Wrestling Connection and Future Stars Of Wrestling. He won his first championship, FSW Heavyweight Championship, while wrestling for Future Stars of Wrestling. He also worked for Lucha Libre AAA, Impact Wrestling and Major League Wrestling.

Kesar’s WWE Debut

Before officially signing with the WWE in 2020, Kesar made an appearance on Monday Night RAW in 2015 where he teamed with Darren Young to face the Ascension. That match resulted in a no contest call.

In February 2020, WWE confirmed that Kesar had signed with the company. Kesar’s ring name would also be changed to Karrion Kross.

Karrion Kross made his WWE NXT debut in May defeating Leon Ruff in a squash match. On June 7, 2020, Kross made his pay-per-view event debut at NXT TakeOver: In Your House in a match against Tommaso Ciampa. Karrion Kross defeated Ciampa via technical submission.

Karrion Kross’ NXT Championship

At NXT TakeOver: 30, Kross defeated Keith Lee to win the NXT Championship for the first time. The following day, WWE announced that Karrion Kross suffered a separate shoulder during the match and on August 26, 2020, Kross vacated the title due to injury making his reign (four days) the shortest in the title’s history.

Karrion Kross Returns

On the December 9th episode of NXT, Kross returned to NXT and attacked Damian Priest. At NXT: New Year’s Evil, he defeated Damian Priest ending their feud. On the February 3rd episode of NXT, Kross attacked Legado de Fantasma members Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde, before threatening the leader and current NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar. Kross wasn’t finished though and later that night he confronted the 2021 Royal Rumble Match Winner, Edge.

Weeks later on February 24th, Kross faced and defeated Santos Escobar in a street fight. He then confronted NXT Champion Finn Bálor after he successfully defended his title against Adam Cole on the March 10th episode of NXT.

Karrion Kross’ Second NXT Championship Win

On April 8, 2021, at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver’s pay-per-view event on Night Two, Karrion Kross defeated Finn Bálor for the WWE NXT Championship.

On the July 19th episode of Monday Night RAW, Kross made his main roster debut. In his RAW debut, Kross was defeated by Jeff Hardy which marked his first pinfall loss in WWE. On the following week, Kross defeated Keith Lee but lost to him the next week before beating Hardy twice. 

At NXT TakeOver 36, Kross returned to NXT and lost the NXT Championship title to Samoa Joe. The next night on RAW, Kross debuted a new look where he wore a gladiator mask and red straps in his entrance. On November 4, Bordeaux and Kross were released from their WWE contracts.

Karrion Kross & Scarlett Return to WWE

Kross and Bordeaux returned to WWE on the August 5 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Karrion interrupted Drew McIntyre’s confrontation with The Usos and Roman Reigns and attacked him.  On the September 23rd episode of SmackDown, McIntyre challenged Kross to a strap match at Extreme Rules, which he accepted. At the event on October 8th, Kross defeated McIntyre with the Kross Hammer after interference by Scarlett. At Crown Jewel on November 5, Kross lost to McIntyre in a steel cage match when McIntyre escaped the cage before he did ending their feud.

Beginning in December 2022, Kross began a feud with Rey Mysterio. On the January 27 episode of SmackDown, Kross lost to Mysterio after a roll up pin. The next night at Royal Rumble, Kross entered his first Royal Rumble match at #7 but was eliminated by Drew McIntyre. On the February 24 episode of SmackDown, Kross defeated Mysterio after interference from Mysterio’s son Dominik. As part of the 2023 WWE Draft, Kross and Scarlett were drafted to the SmackDown brand. Throughout the summer, Kross feuded with AJ Styles, with the two trading victories against each other on various episodes of Smackdown.
