ELEKTRA LOPEZ

Karissa Rivera is a 30-year-old professional wrestler from New Jersey. She is currently signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Rivera performs on WWE’s NXT brand under the ring name, Elektra Lopez.

Early WWE Wrestling Career

Rivera is a second-generation wrestler; she is the daughter of Steve King who wrestled for WWF from 1976 to 1984. She was trained by New Jersey professional wrestler Damian Adams and her WWE debut in 2018 during the November 14 episode of NXT, losing to Lacey Evans.

In April 2019, she returned to WWE television on SmackDown live. During the show, she went by the ring name, Karissa, and competed as one-half of a local tag team combination with Kris Statlander as team The Brooklyn Belles. At their match, they competed and lost their tag title match against the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Ilconics. Rivera also made an appearance as Bobby Lashley’s “ex-wife” during an episode of Monday Night RAW.

Independent Wrestling Promotions

Karissa Rivera has made several appearances for Ring Of Honor including the upset of former women’s champion Sumie Sakai. She is also a regular on the northeast indie scene making appearances for Legendary Action Wrestling (LAW), World Xtreme Wrestling (WXW), Northeast Wrestling, Women’s Wrestling Revolution, Outlaw Wrestling NY and others, capturing the WXW-C4 title and the LAW Women’s title.

Return to WWE NXT

On June 22, 2021, Karissa Rivera signed with World Wrestling Entertainment. She made her NXT debut on the June 22nd episode of NXT under the ring name, Elektra Lopez. In her return, she wrestled against Franky Monet.

On the August 24 episode of NXT, Elektra Lopez helped Legado Del Fantasma win against Hit Row thus solidifying her role as the faction’s valet/manager. On the September 28 episode of NXT 2.0, Lopez would defeat Hit Row’s B-Fab in a no disqualification match. Two weeks later, Escobar would fail to win the NXT North American Championship from Scott ending the feud (Hit Row would get drafted to SmackDown in the WWE Draft).

On the October 7th 2022 episode of SmackDown, the Legado Del Fantasma faction made its debut on the WWE SmackDown without Elektra Lopez. Elektra Lopez was replaced as the faction’s valet by Zelina Vega.
