Brendan Vink is a -year-old professional wrestler from Australia currently signed with World Wrestling Entertainment. He performs on WWE’s NXT brand under the ring name, Duke Hudson.

Duke Hudson’s Early Wrestling Career

Under the ring name, Elliot Sexton, Vink made his professional wrestling debut at the age of 18 years old. He worked for various Australian wrestling promotions including WRESTLE RAMPAGE (WR) and Melbourne City Wrestling. While wrestling in Australia, he won the MCW Heavyweight Championship and was also a one-time WrestleRock Champion. He made his international wrestling debut with the Japanese promotion, New Japan Pro-Wrestling and then the British promotion, Progress Wrestling.

Duke Hudson Debuts on NXT

In February 2019, WWE announced that Vink had signed a contract with the company. He reported to the WWE Performance Centre and then debuted under his real name at an NXT house show the following month where he defeated Nick Comoroto. He continued wrestling at NXT house shows for the next two months and then made his television debut in 2020 on the March 25th episode of NXT. At his television debut, he teamed with his former TMDK stablemate, Shane Thorne, and together they lost to Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch.

In 2019, Brendan Vink also made his debut for EVOLVE (as part of EVOLVE’s business relationships with WWE) where he defeated Colby Corino in his first singles match at EVOLVE 141. He then went on a winning streak while performing on EVOLVE and defeated A.R. Fox, Stephen Wolf, JD Drake and Leon Ruff.

In March 2020, Bink also started appearing on Monday Night RAW alongside Shane Thorne. Together, they faced teams like the Street Profits and Cedric Alexander and Ricochet. On the April 27th episode of RAW, Thorne and Vink became MVP’s newest associates when he challenged Alexander and Ricochet to a match the following week on their behalf. Thorne and Vink went on to defeat Alexander and Ricochet the following week on RAW, marking their first victory. Their alliance with MVP ended after they were both sent back to NXT and their team was disbanded shortly after.

New Ring Name & Alliance

In July 2021, Brendan Vink, was assigned the new ring name, Duke Hudson and it was announced he would take part in the 2021 NXT Breakout Tournament. On the July 13th episode of NXT, Hudson defeated Ikemen Jiro in the first round of the tournament. Hudson was eliminated in the semi-finals by Carmelo Hayes. Hudson then confronted Kyle O’Reilly and started a brawl which led to a match being set a few weeks later.

At NXT WarGames on December 5th, Hudson lost to Cameron Grimes in a Hair vs. Hair match. As a result, he had to shave his hair per the match’s stipulation. On the November 1st 2022 episode of NXT, Hudson turned face for the first time in his WWE career. He accompanied Thea Hail and Andre Chase as Chase U’s flag bearer since Bodhi Hayward was released from his WWE contract that day.

NXT Tag Team Gold

At Halloween Havoc’s Night 1, Andre Chase and Duke Hudson defeated Stacks and Tony D’Angelo to win the NXT Tag Team Championship. In a rematch on November 14, Chase and Hudson lost the titles to Tony D’Angelo and Stacks.
