DREW MCINTYRE WINS WWE UNDISPUTED CHAMPIONSHIP

Drew McIntyre is the new WWE Undisputed Champion! On tonight’s episode of SmackDown, McIntyre defeated Cody Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell match. The finish saw McIntyre escape the cage through the door while Cody was brawling with a returning Jacob Fatu. Fatu initially prevented McIntyre from leaving through the cage door, entering the cage himself. As he was attacking McIntyre, Cody pulled him away. Fatu then attacked Cody. The distraction allowed McIntyre to leave the cage and win the title.
This marks the third Undisputed Championship reign of Drew McIntyre’s WWE career. His previous run came in 2021 during the ThunderDome Era, while his first capture of the Undisputed WWE Championship occurred at WrestleMania 36 in 2020, when he defeated Brock Lesnar inside the WWE Performance Center.
Shortly after the match, McIntyre took to Instagram to post a hilarious photo (above) of himself sleeping with his new championship title.
