SETH ROLLINS RELINQUISHES TITLE DUE TO INJURY

On this week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins officially relinquished the World Heavyweight Championship after undergoing shoulder surgery. WWE confirmed that Rollins will be out of action indefinitely, with no set timeline for his return. Following his announcement, it was revealed that a new World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. The match will feature CM Punk vs. Jey Uso, after Punk earned his opportunity by winning a triple threat match against LA Knight and Uso, while Uso secured his spot by winning a high-stakes battle royal.
Rollins’ injury stemmed from events following last Monday’s episode of RAW, when his own faction members, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed of The Vision, brutally turned on him in a shocking post-show attack. The assault left Rollins seriously hurt, with Breakker adding insult to injury by stealing the World Heavyweight Championship belt to end the night. However, the damage may have begun earlier at WWE Crown Jewel, where Rollins appeared to injure his arm during his championship match against Cody Rhodes. While attempting a high-risk coast-to-coast move, Rollins was seen favoring his arm but continued to compete through the pain. No word on how long Rollins will be out of action.
