Night one of WrestleMania 40 featured seven matches. Three of of the matches were for championships and the main event of the night was the return of The Rock. The Rock returned to the ring to team up with Roman Reigns against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Of the championship matches, Rhea Ripley retained her title, the Awesome Truth won the RAW Tag Team Championships, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller took home the SmackDown titles. In a huge upset, Sami Zayn ended Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship reign at 666 days.
