WRESTLEMANIA 39 NIGHT 1 PAY-PER-VIEW PREDICTIONS
WRESTLEMANIA NIGHT 1 MATCH CARD
Austin Theory (c) vs. John Cena. Singles match for the WWE United States Championship
The match that is kicking off WrestleMania is a contest that could end up going either way. But the way this should be handled is as a redemption story. John Cena is going to win the title and lose it on RAW to someone in an open challenge. Possibly Bron Breakker or Carmelo Hayes … But this will result in Austin Theory preparing himself for a rematch with Cena at SummerSlam where he will defeat John Cena. For now though, John Cena is going to win at the start of the weekend.
OUR PREDICTION: JOHN CENA
Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. Logan Paul. Singles match
In a match that could steal the show, it’s hard to tell which direction this one will go. Obviously, Seth Rollins deserves the win, he hasn’t won a match at WrestleMania since WrestleMania 35. With Logan Paul’s contract coming to an end, they’re most likely going to want him to resign so they might give him the win here to convince him to stay. But we’re still going to go with Seth Rollins here.
OUR PREDICTION: SETH ROLLINS
Trish Stratus, Lita, and Becky Lynch vs. Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky). Six-woman tag team match
We’re hoping that Damage CTRL gets the win. They desperately need it since they have been losing every match lately. This could also set up a match where Damage CTRL wins back their tag team titles later down the line. Hopefully, this feud ends here though as Bayley and Becky Lynch have been feuding for a while now. Of course, you need some heel victories on WrestleMania and Damage CTRL should be the first of those heels to win.
OUR PREDICTION: DAMAGE CTRL
Braun Strowman and Ricochet vs. The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) vs. Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) vs. The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar) (with Valhalla). Men’s WrestleMania Showcase fatal four-way tag team match
This match seems pointless, but hopefully the winning team gets a tag team title match on the RAW or SmackDown after WrestleMania. The Street Profits are the most likely team to win considering how much the company loves Montez Ford. A win on the grandest stage of them all could be huge for The Street Profits. Although there is also a case for Braun Strowman and Ricochet winning due to the company just loving Braun Strowman. Chances are, Otis is going to walk out on Chad Gable during the match after being distracted by the Maximum Male Models, and Chad Gable will be pinned to end the match. The Street Profits are the correct choice here.
OUR PREDICTION: THE STREET PROFITS
Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio. Singles match
In one of the most anticipated matches of the night, it’s father against son. The right choice is for Rey Mysterio to win here and have Dominik Mysterio hug him after the match. Have him start to learn the error of his ways and have a divide within Judgment Day. The crowd would also go crazy for Rey Mysterio defeating his own son at WrestleMania. There is a chance that Dominik might win but it’s unlikely. Rey Mysterio will finally knock some sense into his son in a great match.
OUR PREDICTION: REY MYSTERIO
Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Rhea Ripley. Singles match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
This match could steal the show. We’re all tired of Charlotte Flair, but every single time these two are put together in the ring, it’s a good match. Rhea Ripley has really reinvented herself this past year and it has made her look stronger than ever.
OUR PREDICTION: RHEA RIPLEY
The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) (c) vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Tag team match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship
Hopefully, this match will main event night one as it is the most anticipated match heading into WrestleMania. It has the best storyline that WWE has had in years, and will culminate with The Usos finally losing their tag team titles. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens deserve this more than anyone and it will be a monumental moment for tag team wrestling as a whole. Kevin and Sami are walking out with those tag team titles.
OUR PREDICTION: KEVIN OWENS & SAMI ZAYN
