WWE NXT WORLDS COLLIDE 2022 RECAP & REVIEW
NXT WORLDS COLLIDE MATCH CARD
Carmelo Hayes (c) (with Trick Williams) defeated Ricochet. Singles match for the NXT North American Championship
OUR PREDICTION: CARMELO HAYES
WINNER: CARMELO HAYES
RATING: 9/10
Hayes and Ricochet put on the best match of the night. These two guys went out there and absolutely blew the minds of everyone in the audience. Tons of flips, and crossbodies from Ricochet. As well, there were some smart tactics from Carmelo Hayes, lead to a great showing for both guys. Trick Williams helped Carmelo Hayes out, and distracted Ricochet long enough for Carmelo Hayes to pin Ricochet with a roll up for the win. This was an amazing match, and one of the best from the whole long weekend of wrestling.
Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson) (with Lash Legend) defeated The Creed Brothers (Brutus Creed and Julius Creed) (NXT) (with Damon Kemp), Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs (NXT UK) (with Fallon Henley), and Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) (with Joe Coffey). Fatal four-way tag team elimination match to unify the NXT Tag Team Championship and NXT UK Tag Team Championship
OUR PREDICTION: THE CREED BROTHERS
WINNER: PRETTY DEADLY
RATING: 5/10
This was an elimination match, and for some reason they made Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs the first team to be eliminated. This was an odd choice because they both look kind of weak now after being eliminated so quickly. After this, Gallus was eliminated by The Creed Brothers. Then we go back to where this whole rivalry started, The Creed Brothers vs Pretty Deadly. The Creed Brothers looked like they were about to win, but Damon Kemp of the Diamond Mine turned his back on The Creeds. Kemp hit Julius Creed with a chair and Pretty Deadly were the new champions. This was an alright match, a little underwhelming for the talent involved, but the Damon Kemp heel turn was a decent surprise. But I’m not sure I’m ready for another Pretty Deadly title reign.
Mandy Rose (NXT) defeated Meiko Satomura (NXT UK) and Blair Davenport. Triple threat match to unify the NXT Women’s Championship and NXT UK Women’s Championship
OUR PREDICTION: BLAIR DAVENPORT
WINNER: MANDY ROSE
RATING: 5/10
Anyone but Mandy Rose should have won this match. This rivalry has mainly been between Mandy Rose and Blair Davenport with Meiko Satomura being more of an afterthought. Meiko was only in the match so the NXT UK Women’s Championship could be unified as well. The match ended with Blair Davenport fighting it out with Meiko Satomura, and then Mandy hit a running knee on Blair Davenport to win. This match was alright, but it had the wrong outcome as Toxic Attraction needs to be on the main roster.
Katana Chance and Kayden Carter (c) defeated Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. Tag team match for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship
OUR PREDICTION: KATANA CHANCE & KAYDEN CARTER
WINNER: KATANA CHANCE & KAYDEN CARTER
RATING: 4/10
This match was just alright. It’s hard to make Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. look like threats in NXT when they just suck on the main roster. The match only lasted 10 minutes, because it feels like they don’t know what to do with it. All four women in this match are seriously talented, so it’s horrible they weren’t given much to work with here. Nikki and Doudrop have some good tag team moves in the match, but other then that it was just alright. The match ended with a Neckbreaker/450 Splash combination from the champions on Doudrop to pin her for the victory. This match was alright, but we need new tag teams.
Bron Breakker (NXT) defeated Tyler Bate (NXT UK). Singles match to unify the NXT Championship and NXT United Kingdom Championship
OUR PREDICTION: BRON BREAKKER
WINNER: BRON BREAKKER
RATING: 7/10
The match was slow in the beginning but not in a good way, but those last few minutes really picked up and made this a great one. So many counters from Tyler Bate to show his veteran status compared to the new kid Bron Breakker. Breakker used his size to block Tyler Bate’s finisher attempts and he reversed it into a spear, which was awesome and he used that to win the match. NXT UK will forever be a part of NXT history, but as the last NXT UK Championship match ever, we think it lived up to the hype. Great match to end the show.
