CODY RHODES WINS ESPY FOR 2022 MOMENT OF THE YEAR

Cody Rhodes wins ESPY for WWE Moment of the Year

Cody Rhodes’ return at WrestleMania 38 rocked the WWE Universe and will go down as one of 2022’s most memorable moments. At tonight’s ESPYs, Rhodes’ won the ESPY for WWE Moment of the Year. The honor was announced as Rhodes presented the ESPY for Best Comeback Athlete.

Cody Rhodes topped 15 other nominees in fan voting to determine the 2022 WWE Moment of the Year. The three other finalists included The Undertaker’s WWE Hall of Fame induction, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin raising hell at WrestleMania 37 and Big E cashing in for the WWE Title on RAW.

In an interview following his ESPY acceptance, Rhodes said, “It’s very stirring. I was excited to be nominated, and it was a significant moment for me. It was the best decision I’ve ever made in my wrestling career, coming back (to WWE). But I’m nominated with guys like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker and John Cena, so to be the one who is taking home the WWE Moment of the Year feels good.”

Cody Rhodes is currently on the WWE injury list as he is healing from surgery after tearing his pectoral muscle during a workout at the WWE Performance Center.
