WRESTLING LEGEND RIC FLAIR ANNOUNCES IN-RING RETURN
Flair Is Coming Out of Retirement for Final Career Match
WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is training for his final wrestling match. Flair, who turned 73 years old earlier this year, confirmed on social media that he is training for his return to wrestling this July. Flair wrote: “The Rumors Are True! I’m Going To Walk That Aisle, Style And Profile, One Last Time! July 31st! Nashville, Tennessee! Jim Crockett Promotions! I Will Prove Once Again, That To Be The Man, You’ve Got To Beat The Man! Now We Go To School! WOOOOO!”
Flair’s retirement match took place at WWE’s WrestleMania 24 in 2008 where he lost to Shawn Michaels. He returned to the ring a year later, however, for wrestling promotion, TNA. His last match was on an episode of Impact Wrestling against Sting. Ric Flair parted ways with WWE in 2021.
Rumors surfaced recently about Flair’s in-ring return after he posted videos of himself training with former TNA superstar, Jay Lethal. There’s no word yet on who Flair will face in his final match but it will take place on July 31st. It will be part of “Jim Crockett Promotions” and the event takes place at the world famous Nashville Fairgrounds. A website to promote the event has been set up for fans to purchase tickets.
