XAVIER WOODS WINS KING OF THE RING
King of the Ring Tournament Finals
Xavier Woods has been saying for months on social media that his dream would be to win the King of the Ring tournament. Today, Woods’ dream came true at WWE’s Crown Jewel pay-per-view when he defeated Finn Bálor in the tournament’s final round.
For the match’s first few minutes, Woods and Bálor took turns on offense trading punches and kicks until both were laid out in the ring. Bálor got up first and when Woods tried a move off the top rope, Bálor kicked him in the head. Woods then caught Bálor who also tried a move off the top rope and then hit a “superplex” into an attempt at a pin.
Xavier Woods then went for a diving elbow but Bálor countered into a pin attempt. He then followed it up with a sling blade and dropkick into the corner. Just as Bálor went for the coup de grace, Woods moved and rolled up Bálor into a pin attempt. He followed it up with kicks, a gutbuster and a diving elbow. Xavier Woods then pinned Bálor to win the King of the Ring tournament.
