OUR WWE DRAFT PREDICTIONS

The WWE Draft is an annual event the company uses to re-assign superstars to different shows. Monday Night RAW and SmackDown feature superstars on the company’s main roster but NXT is another brand now considered in the WWE Draft. The draft serves as a way to shuffle wrestlers to the other brand and as a way to ‘freshen up’ the shows. It also opens up the possibilities for new storylines and feuds between superstars who were previously separated by their respective brands. The following is a list of our predictions for the upcoming WWE Draft.

Round 1

RAW: The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods)

SmackDown: Roman Reigns

RAW: Charlotte Flair

SmackDown: Becky Lynch

RAW: Edge

Notes

  • RAW would choose The New Day because Big E is the WWE Champion and we don’t see them splitting The New Day again.
  • Edge would be a surprise switch to RAW though and his final match against Seth Rollins will be his last match for the SmackDown brand.

Round 2

RAW: The Hurt Business (Bobby Lashley, M.V.P, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander)

SmackDown: Drew McIntyre

RAW: Damian Priest

SmackDown: Seth Rollins

RAW: RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle)

Notes

  • Drew McIntyre is a big change on the SmackDown roster but we do see him having a feud with Roman Reigns.

Round 3

RAW: Finn Bálor

SmackDown: Sasha Banks

RAW: Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H.

SmackDown: Bianca Belair

RAW: Shayna Baszler

Notes

  • Finn Bálor going to RAW is another great choice because right now there really isn’t anything for him on SmackDown.

Round 4

RAW: LA Knight

SmackDown: The Usos (Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso)

RAW: Alexa Bliss

SmackDown: King Nakamura and Rick Boogs

RAW: Karrion Kross

Notes

  • LA Knight would be the first NXT callup at the draft. He has so much charisma and would fit well on RAW.
  • Karrion Kross is going to stay on RAW he’s probably going to get a big push soon.

Round 5

RAW: Sheamus

SmackDown: AJ Styles

RAW: Omos

SmackDown: Jeff Hardy

RAW: Kevin Owens

Notes

  • AJ Styles and Omos are the first team to split up in the draft with each man going solo. This pairing was good while it lasted but it ran its course.
  • Jeff Hardy needs a fresh start and SmackDown could give him that.
  • Kevin Owens needs a fresh start and Raw could give him that.

ROUND 6

RAW: The Miz

SmackDown: Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio

RAW: The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins)

SmackDown: Asuka

RAW: Keith “Bearcat” Lee

Notes

  • The Street Profits go to RAW for a fresh start.
  • Asuka goes to SmackDown for a fresh start.

Round 7

RAW: Happy Corbin

SmackDown: The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar)

RAW: Apollo Crews and Command Azeez

SmackDown: Naomi

RAW: Cameron Grimes

Notes

  • Happy Corbin moves to Raw to add much needed entertainment to RAW.
  • The Viking Raiders move to SmackDown because they have done everything on RAW.
  • Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez move to RAW for a fresh start.
  • Cameron Grimes is the other NXT callup from this draft and will add much needed entertainment to RAW.

Round 8

RAW: John Morrison

SmackDown: Liv Morgan

RAW: Nia Jax

SmackDown: Cesaro

RAW: Carmella

Notes

  • Carmella to RAW for a fresh start.

Round 9

RAW: The Dirty Dawgs (Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode)

SmackDown: Shotzi and Nox

RAW: Sami Zayn

SmackDown: Mansoor and Mustafa Ali

RAW: Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo 

Notes

  • The Dirty Dawgs to Raw to add to their tag team division.
  • Sami Zayn to Raw for a fresh start.
  • Mansoor and Mustafa Ali to SmackDown to add to their tag team division.

Round 10

RAW: Natalya and Tamina

SmackDown: Toni Storm

RAW: Jinder Mahal, Veer and Shanky

SmackDown: Jaxson Ryker

RAW: Mia Yim

Notes

  • Natalya and Tamina to Raw to add to their Women’s division.
  • Jaxson Ryker to SmackDown for a fresh start.
  • Mia Yim to Raw without the Reckoning name.

  • Ricochet to SmackDown for a fresh start.
