WWE Talent Positive for COVID-19
In a statement released on Monday night, WWE has confirmed that a member of the developmental team has tested positive for COVID-19. The following is the press release issued by the WWE:
A developmental talent, who was last on site at WWE’s training facility on Tuesday, June 9, has tested positive for COVID-19. Since that time, no other individuals that attended the facility have reported symptoms. However, out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the health and safety of the company’s performers and staff, all talent, production crew and employees on site at the training and production facilities will be tested for COVID-19 immediately. Following the test results, WWE plans to proceed with its normal television production schedule.
Due to the pandemic, fans have not been permitted to attend any of the WWE wrestling shows since March 25. The WWE did allow a small group of fans to attend last night’s live show of Monday Night RAW at the Performance Center in Florida. No word yet on when WWE shows will resume outside of the Performance Center or when larger audiences will be allowed to attend.
