WWE Writer Christopher DeJoseph Fired
Christopher DeJoseph, a lead writer for WWE’s SmackDown, has been let go from the company. According to various sources, DeJoseph was not released due to COVID-19, but rather for “inappropriate conduct and remarks” he made during a backstage meeting for WWE.
DeJoseph had only been working for the WWE since December 2019 prior to being fired last week. He worked for the WWE from 2004 to 2010 but left the company to work for Lucha Underground as a creative figure and an executive producer.
Details about the inappropriate conduct and remarks are not available but apparently DeJoseph’s behavior was enough to enrage WWE Chairman Vince McMahon who made the decision to let him go.
