MONTEZ FORD

Kenneth Crawford is a 33-year-old professional wrestler from Chicago, Illinois. Crawford is signed to the WWE and performs on RAW where he is one half of the tag team, The Street Profits, with Angelo Dawkins. His ring name is Montez Ford.

Crawford grew up in North Carolina and was a star track athlete in high school. After graduating from high school, Crawford joined the United States Marine Corps and served for four years until 2012.

Montez Ford’s WWE Debut

In 2013, Crawford was invited to tryout for the WWE after his wife sent photos of him to the company’s recruitment website. After completing his training at the WWE Performance Center, Crawford started his wrestling career for the company’s developmental territory, NXT. He made his NXT debut at a house show in a 20-man battle royal in September 2015.

In January 2017, Crawford teamed up with Angelo Dawkins to form the tag team, The Street Profits. They had their first title match in February 2017 against the Authors of Pain for the NXT Tag Team Championship but were unsuccessful. Hawkins and Ford made their debut as The Street Profits in July 2017 and won their first match against the Hype Bros. For the rest of 2017, the Street Profits experienced success in the ring. They eventually earned a title match for the NXT Tag Team Championship held by Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly. On December 14, they fought Fish and O’Reilly for the titles but were defeated.

The Street Profits’ Pursue Titles

In 2018, the Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford continued their pursuit for the tag team championships but were unsuccessful. The Street Profits also competed in EVOLVE Wrestling and won the tag team titles in 2018. They later lost them to the Unwanted in March 2019.

The Street Profits entered the 2018 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic again but were eliminated by the Authors of Pain (AOP) in the semifinals. They entered the 2019 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament again but were eliminated by Moustache Mountain in the first round.

In May 2019, the Viking Raiders vacated their tag team titles and the Street Profits challenged them. The match ended in disqualification after the Forgotten Sons, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch interfered.

NXT & RAW Tag Team Championships

At NXT TakeOver: XXV, The Street Profits, Lorcan and Burch, The Forgotten Sons, and The Undisputed Era competed in a four-way tag team match. The Street Profits won the NXT Tag Team Titles. But on August 15th, they lost the titles to Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly.

On October 11 2019, The Street Profits were drafted to RAW and made their official main roster debut in a match defeating Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. At Survivor Series, they competed in a 10-team Tag Team Battle Royal and were the last team to be eliminated by winners, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.

After numerous title matches with the Viking Raiders, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins finally won the RAW Tag Team Championship titles on March 2, 2020.

Street Profits Drafted to SmackDown

As part of the WWE 2020 draft in October, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins were drafted to SmackDown. As a result, Dawkins and Ford traded the RAW Tag Team Championship titles to The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods). The New Day had just been drafted to the RAW brand so this was an exchange for The New Day’s SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

After moving to SmackDown, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins began feuding with the tag team of Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. The Street Profits successfully defended their titles against Roode and Ziggler in December. On the January 8th episode of SmackDown, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode defeated The Street Profits for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Ford and Dawkins’ reign lasted 88 days.

Street Profits Drafted to RAW

As part of the WWE Draft in October 2021, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford were drafted to RAW. At Day 1 on January 1, the Street Profits challenged RK-Bro for the RAW Tag Team Championships but were unsuccessful. At Royal Rumble 2022, Ford and Dawkins entered the Royal Rumble match at #6 and #10 but went on to lose.

Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins Battle The Usos

On the second night of WrestleMania 38, the Street Profits failed to win the titles again. At Money in the Bank in July, they lost in a match to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against The Usos. In a rematch at SummerSlam, Dawkins and Ford lost again. At Clash at the Castle on September 3rd, The Street Profits teamed with Madcap Moss to defeat Alpha Academy and Austin Theory during the pre-show.

At the Royal Rumble on January 28, 2023, The Street Profits entered the men’s Royal Rumble match. Neither were successful as Dawkins was eliminated by Brock Lesnar, while Ford was eliminated by Damian Priest. On the February 6th episode of RAW, Ford defeated Elias to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match for the United States Championship, while Dawkins lost to Damian Priest in another qualifying match.
