Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza is a 30-year-old professional wrestler from Mexico. He is currently signed to WWE and performs on RAW under the ring name, Andrade.

Oropeza is a third generation wrestler and began training at an early age. Oropeza made his debut wrestling match one month before his 14th birthday and worked under the ring name, “Brilliante Jr.,” as a tribute to his father who used the ring name, “Brilliante.”

From 2003 to 2007, Oropeza wrestled for his family’s promotion. He signed with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in 2007 and made his Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in-ring debut in February as “Brilliante.” A few months later, he changed his ring name to “La Sombra” and quickly moved up the ranks at CMLL. Oropeza held numerous titles during his career with CMLL including the CMLL Universal Championship, CMLL World Tag Team Championship, and the CMLL World Trios Championship to name a few.

In 2014, he wrestled for Los Ingobernables and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. In November 2015, Oropeza signed a developmental contract with WWE and worked at the Performance Center in Florida. During this time, he also worked on his English skills with Canadian wrestler and producer, Sarah Stock.

Under the ring name, Manny Andrade, he made his NXT in-ring debut at a house show where he defeated Riddick Moss. A month later, he changed his ring name to  Andrade “Cien” Almas. In November 2017, he defeated Drew McIntyre, the NXT Champion, on an episode of NXT to win the championship. He retained his NXT Championship for 140 days before losing it to Aleister Black at NXT TakeOver New Orleans in April 2018.

Oropeza was drafted to the main roster in April 2018 and debuted on SmackDown. In January 2019, his ring name was shortened to Andrade. He competed in the 2019 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal match at WrestleMania but failed to win.

As part of the 2019 draft, Andrade was assigned to RAW and at a house show in December, Andrade beat Rey Mysterio to win the United States Championship for the first time. His reign lasted 151 days before being defeated by Apollo Crews in May 2020.

In June 2020, Andrade teamed with Angel Garza to form a tag team. Andrade is currently on the WWE RAW roster.
