Demi Bennett is a 23-year-old professional wrestler from Australia. She’s currently signed to WWE and performs on NXT under the ring name, Rhea Ripley.

Ripley started her wrestling career in 2013 working for Riot City Wrestling. She wrestled on the indie scene until 2017 when it was announced that she would participate in the 2017 Mae Young Classic under her new ring name, Rhea Ripley. In the first round, she defeated Miranda Salinas before losing in the second round to Dakota Kai.

In 2017, Bennett made her television debut in a battle royal meant to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship, which was won by Nikki Cross.

In 2018, Ripley turned heel and entered the Mae Young Classic defeating MJ Jenkins, Kacy Catanzaro, and Tegan Nox before losing to Io Shirai. In 2018, WWE held a tournament to crown the first ever NXT UK Women’s Champion. Ripley defeated Xia Brookside, Dakota Kai, and Toni Storm to win the tournament and become the first ever NXT UK Women’s Champion. After 139 days, Ripley lost the title to Toni Storm.

In 2019, Rhea Ripley competed in the first ever Women’s Wargames match winning for her team, and ended Shayna Baszler’s long NXT Women’s Championship reign.

At WrestleMania 36, Ripley lost the NXT Women’s Championship on night two to Charlotte Flair. The day after WrestleMania 36, Ripley announced she was taking a break and would be returning to Australia due to her visa issues. Ripley returned to NXT in May and at NXT TakeOver: In Your House, Ripley and Charlotte Flair lost to Io Shirai in a triple threat match for the NXT Women’s Championship.

At NXT The Great American Bash on July 1st, Ripley defeated Aliyah and Robert Stone in a 1-on-2 handicap match by submission.
