Allyssa Lyn “Lacey” Lane is a 32-year-old American professional wrestler from Winter Park, Florida. Lane is currently signed with the WWE NXT brand and her ring name is Kayden Carter.
In 2016, Lane started training for a wrestling career in the Team 3D Academy and then wrestled regularly for a number of different Florida-based independent promotions. She had her first public match against Trish Adora for the Go Wrestle promotion which she won.
The following year, Lane had a tryout at the WWE Performance Center in February and was offered a contract. WWE rescinded the contract though after a physical examination revealed Lane had arthritis in her knee. She spent several months rehabbing her knee.
In November 2017, Lane began wrestling for The Crash Lucha Libre in Mexico. In January 2018, she defeated Keyra for the promotion’s Women’s Championship title. She held the title for 175 days before losing it to Tessa Blanchard in a triple threat match that also included Santana Garrett on July 14, 2018.
In July 2018, Lane signed with the WWE after passing a second physical. She competed in the 2018 Mae Young Classic and defeated Vanessa Kraven in the first round. She then defeated Taynara Conti in the second round but lost in the quarter finals to Meiko Satomura.
In September 2019, Lane’s ring name was changed to Kayden Carter and she made her NXT television debut in January 2020 in a winning effort against Chelsea Green. She then lost to Green in a rematch in February.
