BOBBY FISH

Robert Anthony Fish is a 43-year-old professional wrestler from Albany, New York. He wrestles for WWE’s NXT brand using the ring name, Bobby Fish.

Fish made his pro wrestling debut in 2002 and competed in the Northeast under various ring names like Jerk Jackson and Madden Fisher before settling on Bobby Fish.

For the next several years Fish wrestled various promotions; in 2006, he toured Japan with Pro Wrestling Noah and in his debut match, he defeated Atsushi Aoki. In 2012, Fish made his debut for Ring of Honor where he formed a tag team with Kyle O’Reilly called, reDRagon. In March, they defeated the Briscoe Brothers to win the ROH World Tag Team Championship.

Fish and O’Reilly successfully defended their titles for several months until being defeated by Forever Hooligans at the end of July. A few weeks later they regained the titles from The American Wolves and retained the titles for the rest of the year. In March 2014, reDRagon lost the titles to the Young Bucks.

Fish and O’Reilly regained the tag team championships back from the Young Bucks in May at the Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling pay-per-view, War of the Worlds. They retained the tag team titles until April 5 when they were defeated by The Addiction at ROH tapings.

Bobby Fish became the ROH World Television Champion in May 2016 but lost the title in November to Will Ospreay. Bobby Fish left Ring of Honor in March 2017.

Bobby Fish made his NXT debut in a losing match to Aleister Black at the June 23rd 2017 NXT taping. At NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III in August 2017, Bobby Fish debuted and teamed up with his longtime tag team partner, Kyle O’Reilly. They defeated The Authors of Pain and also attacked newly crowned NXT Tag Team Champion, SAnitY. That night, Fish and O’Reilly turned heel and helped newcomer Adam Cole attack NXT Champion, Drew McIntyre. A month later, Fish, O’Reilly and Adam Cole formed the stable known as, “The Undisputed Era.”

On December 20th’s episode of NXT, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly defeated SAnitY (Eric Young and Killian Dain) to capture the NXT Tag Team Championship, marking their first title win in WWE. Fish and O’Reilly defended their titles successfully against Roderick Strong and Aleister Black and then the Authors of Pain. In early March, Fish suffered a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee at an NXT live event.

At NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, O’Reilly and Adam Cole successfully defended the stable’s tag team championships against The Authors of Pain and the team of Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne. During the match, Strong turned on Dunne allowing O’Reilly to pin him and he then turned heel and joined the Undisputed Era. Since Roderick Strong joined the Undisputed Era, he was also recognized as a holder of the tag team championship.

The Undisputed Era lost the tag team titles at the WWE’s United Kingdom Championship tournament event in 2018 but regained them two days later. Bobby Fish returned to NXT in October 2018 after recovering from his injury. The Undisputed Era lost the NXT Tag Team Championships to The War Raiders at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix.

Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly defeated the Street Profits in August 2019 for the NXT Tag Team Championships. In February 2020, Fish and O’Reilly dropped the titles to Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winners Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne.
