ADAM COLE NO LONGER WITH WWE

Adam Cole is no longer with WWE

PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE sent an internal memo via email this morning that Adam Cole is no longer with the company. Apparently, Cole had not come to terms with his new contract deal and as of August 24, he is done with WWE.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp also reported today that despite his recent meeting with Vince McMahon going well, the former and longest reigning NXT Champion is now 100% a free agent. Originally, Adam Cole’s contract with WWE expired in July but he signed a short-term extension that kept him wrestling through NXT TakeOver 36 (which took place on August 21). At NXT TakeOver 36, Cole lost a two out of three falls match against his former Undisputed Era member and now rival Kyle O’Reilly.

There’s lots of speculation circulating now online that Adam Cole will end up wrestling with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Cole’s real life partner, Dr. Britt Baker is one of AEW’s biggest stars and it’s well-known that Adam Cole is close friends with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega.
