Jeffrey Sciullo is a 35-year-old professional wrestler from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is currently signed to the WWE and performs on RAW under the ring name, Elias.
From 2008 to 2014, Sciullo worked for various independent wrestling promotions in the Northeastern USA, but wrestled primarily for International Wrestling Cartel under the ring names Heavy Metal Jesus and Logan Shulo. While wrestling for the International Wrestling Cartel (IWC), Sciullo won the IWC’s Super Indy Championship and World Heavyweight Championship.
Elias’ WWE Debut
In 2014, Sciullo signed a developmental contract with WWE and began using the ring name, Elias Samson. He made his NXT debut in April working as an enhancement talent. Throughout 2014 and early 2015, he continued wrestling as enhancement talent to wrestlers.
Elias Samson debuted as a drifter musician and defeated Bull Dempsey in a match prior to NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2015. As Elias Samson he entered the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament teaming with Tucker Knight but were eliminated by Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson. For the rest of 2015 and throughout 2016, he racked up several victories.
Elias faced Kassius Ohno in the first ever “loser leaves NXT” match in March 2017 but lost. The following week he wrestled his last match on NXT as the masked “El Vagabundo.”
Elias’ Main Roster Debut
In 2017, Elias was called up to Monday Night RAW where he made his debut briefly on stage during an 8-man tag team match. He had his first match on May 22, 2017 defeating Dean Ambrose by disqualification. In July 2017, WWE shortened his ring name to just Elias.
In January 2018, he competed in his first Royal Rumble match and lasted 26 minutes before being eliminated by John Cena. He also entered the Greatest Royal Rumble match and lasted 30 minutes. He was tossed over the rope in that match by Bobby Lashley. Elias entered the Royal Rumble match in 2019 but also lost to the match winner, Seth Rollins.
Elias Drafted To SmackDown
In the 2019 WWE Draft Elias was drafted to SmackDown. With the help of Shane McMahon, he pinned R-Truth for the 24/7 Championship, his first title in the WWE. He lost the title the same night after he was pinned to R-Truth.
The following week in a lumberjack match against R-Truth, he won the 24/7 Championship for the second time. He was pinned again later that night losing the title. He went on to win and lose the 24/7 Championship two more times to R-Truth.
At the 2020 Royal Rumble, he entered the match second but was quickly thrown over the top rope by Brock Lesnar. Following the Rumble, Elias began feuding with King Corbin. At WrestleMania 36, he defeated Corbin with a roll-up pin. He defeated Corbin again in the first round of a tournament for the Intercontinental Championship on SmackDown. Due to a torn pectoral muscle that required surgery, Elias was unable to continue competing in the tournament.
Elias Drafted to RAW in October
Elias returned from injury on October 12 and attacked Jeff Hardy by bashing his guitar, turning heel again. At the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event, he defeated Hardy by disqualification after Hardy smashed him with his guitar. In November, he lost to Hardy in a Guitar on a Pole match. A few weeks later, he lost again in a Symphony of Destruction match, thus ending their feud.
In December 2020, Elias formed an alliance with Jaxson Ryker. At the Royal Rumble in January 2021, Elias entered as competitor number 13. He eliminated Carlito but was eliminated by Damian Priest. At the Fastlane pay-per-view, Elias replaced Shane McMahon in his match against Braun Strowman.
After challenging AJ Styles and Omos for the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship in a losing effort, Elias split with Ryker on the May 31, 2021 episode of RAW. The two briefly feuded until the July 19 episode of RAW, where in a match between the two Ryker was victorious. In August, WWE aired vignettes where Elias burned his guitar, ending the musician character.
Elias/Ezekiel Ring Name Change
On the April 4, 2022 episode of RAW, Elias, now under the new ring name “Ezekiel”, returned to WWE television as a face. He debuted a look consisting of a clean shaven face, shorter hair, and trunks, claiming that he was the younger brother of Elias. In the following weeks on RAW, Ezekiel entered a feud with Kevin Owens, who refused to believe Ezekiel was really Elias’s brother, and thought he was actually Elias himself. At Hell in a Cell, Ezekiel lost to Owens.
On the June 20 episode of RAW, the two brothers reunited in a doctored backstage segment. Later that night, Elias appeared to perform a concert, before being interrupted by Owens. Still refusing to believe that the brothers were different people, Kevin Owens challenged Ezekiel, Elias or their “even younger brother Elrod” to a match.SHOW LESS
