BECKY LYNCH

Rebecca Quin is a 33-year-old professional wrestler from Dublin, Ireland. She is signed to the WWE and performs on RAW under the ring name, Becky Lynch. She is on maternity leave and is due with her first child in December 2020.

Quin began watching professional wrestling as a child with her brother, Richy. In 2002, Quin and her brother began training at a wrestling school opened by Finn Bálor (Fergal Devitt) and Paul Tracey in Ireland. Five months later, she made her wrestling debut under the ring name, Rebecca Knox. She also teamed with her brother in mixed tag team matches.

In 2005, Quin joined the Canadian wrestling promotion, SuperGirls Wrestling. A year later, she began working for Shimmer Women Athletes. She won the World Queens of Chaos Championship in June ’06 and held the title until September when she was defeated by Sweet Saraya. That September, while wrestling in Germany, Knox suffered a head injury that caused her painful headaches and possible damage to her eighth cranial nerve. As a result, Quin took a six month break from wrestling and only wrestled on three occasions in 2008, 2012 and 2013.

In 2013, Quin signed a two year developmental contract with WWE and reported to the Performance Center in Florida. It was then that she changed her ring name to Becky Lynch.

Becky Lynch made her televised in-ring debut on NXT in June 2014 defeating Summer Rae. She wrestled for NXT until 2015 competing in various non-title matches. She made her official main roster debut in July 2015 on RAW along with Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks.

In 2016, Becky Lynch was the first woman drafted to the SmackDown brand during the 2016 WWE draft. On September 11, she won a six-pack elimination challenge to become the inaugural SmackDown Women’s Champion. She retained her title until the TLC pay-per-view event in November when she lost to Alexa Bliss. Lynch failed to regain the championship rematch in January 2017.

In 2018, after the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, Becky Lynch began a winning streak defeating Billie Kay, Sonya Deville, Peyton Royce, Mandy Rose, and Carmella. These wins earned Lynch a title match at SummerSlam but Charlotte Flair won the title after she pinned Lynch.

The feud between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair continued until Hell In A Cell in September 2018 in which Lynch won the SmackDown Women’s Championship for a second time. Lynch’s second championship reign lasted 91 days and it was during this time that she proclaimed herself to be “The Man,” and the top wrestler for the company.

In January 2019, Becky Lynch won the Women’s Royal Rumble match after eliminating Charlotte Flair. At Wrestlemania 35, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair competed in a triple-threat match for a winner takes all match. Rousey was the RAW Women’s Champion and Flair, the SmackDown Women’s Champion. At Wrestlemania 35, the women’s match headlined the event for the first time, and Lynch pinned Rousey winning both titles. With both championship titles, Lynch was dubbed “Becky Two Belts,” and was allowed to appear on both RAW and SmackDown.

At the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in 2019, she retained RAW Women’s Championship but lost the SmackDown title to Charlotte Flair. Becky Lynch retained the RAW title for over a year until she announced her real-life pregnancy in May 2020 and proclaimed Asuka as the new RAW Women’s Champion.
