KILLIAN DAIN

Damian Mackle is a 35-year-old professional wrestler from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Mackle is currently signed with WWE and performs on the NXT brand under the ring name, Killian Dain.

Mackle started his wrestling career in 2005 when he made his wrestling debut for the promotion, Scottish Wrestling Alliance, under the ring name Damian O’Connor. In his early career, Mackle wrestled in a tag team with Scott Renwick called Britain’s Most Wanted touring Scotland and the North of England. Together, they won won a variety of tournaments and tag team championships in promotions such as Scottish World Alliance, Scottish School of Wrestling, and 3 Count Wrestling.

Mackle wrestled sporadically for Insane Championship Wrestling as Big Damo. He won the ICW World Heavyweight Championship in February 2016 but lost the title to Joe Coffey in July. Mackle continued wrestling on the independent scene for various promotions including Revolution Pro Wrestling, EVOLVE, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and Global Force Wrestling.

In June 2016, Mackle signed with the WWE to perform on the company’s NXT brand. He made his debut for NXT in December 2016 under the ring name Damo. His ring name was then changed in January 2017 to Killian Dain and he joined Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe to be a member of SAnitY.

Killian Dain competed in the NXT’s first ever WarGames Match where he teamed with Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe against the teams of Akam, Rezar, and Roderick Strong, and the team of Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O’Reilly.

During the 2018 Superstar Shake-up, SAnitY made their main roster debut and in June, attacked the Usos. The following week, SAnitY lost to the Usos and Jeff Hardy in a 6 man tag team match. SAnitY also faced The New Day in a tables match on the Extreme Rules 2018 Kickoff Show.

In 2019, Alexander Wolfe went to NXT UK and joined Imperium, Eric Young was drafted to SmackDown, and Killian Dain was drafted back to NXT making him a singles competitor.

At NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019, Killian Dain competed in a triple threat match against Pete Dunne and Damian Priest in which the winner would get a NXT Championship opportunity. Dain lost the match.
