Sami Zayn Wins Intercontinental Title
Sami Zayn captured the WWE Intercontinental Championship last night at WWE’s Clash of Champions pay-per-view event. He competed in a triple threat ladder match against A.J. Styles and champion, Jeff Hardy.
The match was fast-paced, intense and had tons of insane moments – including Jeff Hardy’s Swanton bomb. In the end, Zayn beat Styles and Hardy by bringing handcuffs to the ring. Sami Zayn put one end of the handcuffs through the piercing in Hardy’s ear and the other to a nearby ladder and then cuffed Styles to Jeff Hardy. He then scrambled up the ladder and grabbed the belts.
WWE fans will recall that Zayn had to vacate the WWE Intercontinental title earlier this year as he decided to self-isolate during the coronavirus pandemic.
